How should I choose my tradeshow booth space?
Answered By Melanie Tamsevicius, Editor
Every trade show is unique. Consider the many variables affecting direction, volume and quality of traffic past your display. You should become familiar with the floor plan and where and how your trade show booth fits into the plan.
Consider how close you want to be to the following:
- main attractions
- industry leaders
- competitors
- restrooms
- food stations
- entrances
- exits
- escalators, elevators and lifts
- windows
- seminar sites
Avoid the following areas on the floor plan:
- obstructing columns
- low ceilings
- dead-end aisles
- loading docks
- freight doors
- dark or poorly lit spaces
- ceiling water pipes
- late set-up areas
- "black spots"
