Consider the many variables affecting direction, volume and quality of traffic past your display. You should become familiar with the floor plan and where and how your trade show booth fits into the plan. Consider how close you want to be to the following: main attractions industry leaders competitors restrooms food stations entrances exits escalators, elevators and lifts windows seminar sites Avoid the following areas on the floor plan: obstructing columns low ceilings dead-end aisles loading docks freight doors dark or poorly lit spaces ceiling water pipes late set-up areas "black spots" --- permission must be obtained from author Melanie Tamsevicius to re-publish --- Baltimore Convention Center
